This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/29/2011
Starring for the Czechoslovakian national team and leading it to a silver medal at the 1971 World Championships in Switzerland, Vaclav Nedomansky fired eight goals along the way. The Soviets won their ninth straight title, with Sweden finishing third. A terrific raised image of acap-wearing goalie, "1971" and the maker's "Huguenin" name appear on this 2-3/8" in diameter medal, in near mint condition and housed in its original white box, the surface of which includes a small tear. From superstar Vaclav Nedomansky's personal collection, with his signed LOA to be included, this appealing piece awaits its new appreciative home.
