Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/16/2010
Appealing football uniform was donned by Tom Janik during his time with the Patriots (1969-71). A two-time AFL all-star defensive back with the Buffalo Bills (1965, 1967) who had broken in with the Denver Broncos in 1963, Janik performed punting duties with the AFL Boston Patriots ('69), NFL Boston Patriots ('70) and NFL New England Patriots ('71). Untagged stretchy knit Pats uniform has sewn-on tackle twill numbers and "Janik" across a similar knit nameplate. A nickel-size team repair is on the front, up to the right of the "1". A few black spots are on the back, below the numbers. Some big interior "pills" at the armpits are also to mention, along with the fact that Janik died last November at age 69.
