Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/16/2010
Splendid lot of early 20th century baseball ephemera comes from a scrapbook assembled by the Hooper family of Montreal, better known in hockey circles but which was involved in baseball during the summer. A 1912 team photo, three member tickets/passes (1909-11), half a dozen snapshots and a real photo postcard are related to the BPAAA team (Brooklyn Park Amateur Athletic Assoc.). Passes are signed by A. Hooper (2) and H. Hooper (1), with a Montreal City Baseball League contract signed by W.A. Innes, president of the Montreal "National" team. A baseball cabinet team photo, a team photo postcard (St. Lambert), three ancient rain checks (one with "Greater New York Base Ball Club of the American League") and two dozen other baseball related snapshots all have back damage but will provide a fascinating trip back in time.
