Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010

Montreal Canadiens Hall-of-Fame netminder Ken Dryden owned the crease throughout the Seventies! This is his game used Canadien Custom Pro stick from the middle to later part of the decade. Factory stamped "Ken Dryden" up on the shaft with additional markings (we can't make it out) in fading felt marker. Numerous telltale dents on the backside of the blade recall Ken's habit of banging his stick against the toes of his skates and the wider creamy cloth tape is typical and another characteristic of a proper Dryden gamer. Correctly taped in vintage white over the heavily-oiled black wrap at the knob. Lots of game use on this example includes a one-inch chip down low on the paddle. These are not getting any easier to find!
