Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/16/2010
The Anaheim Mighty Ducks pulled off a Motor City Miracle of their own at the 2003 NHL Draft in Nashville when they hit a couple of home runs with their pair of late first-round picks. After selecting Ryan Getzlaf with the 19th overall pick, the Ducks connected again when they chose Corey Perry with the 28th pick. Offered here are three great pieces of memorabilia commemorating those two crucial draft picks in Ducks history, including the "R. GETZLAF" and "C. PERRY" nameplate boards - each measuring 6 3/8" x 48" - that were originally placed alongside the team's first round slots on the stage of the Gaylord Center. Getzlaf and Perry, who would play prominent roles in Anaheim's Stanley Cup win in 2007, have each signed in black sharpie on the front of a white Mighty Ducks jersey that they both autographed on draft day in Nashville. This great lot of Getzlaf and Perry draft memorabilia comes with a COA.
