Incredibly rare original team photo of the 1923-24 Toronto St. Patricks is offered here. Scoring leader Babe Dye is one of three Hall-of-Famers who appear in the photo along with Reg Noble and Jack Adams, who was inducted into the Hall as a player in 1959. This remarkable and historic original 8" x 10" team photo is from the Toronto franchise's seventh NHL season, its fifth as the St. Patricks. Goalie John Ross Roach, who helped lead the St. Pats to their only Stanley Cup win in 1922, is fourth from the left in the middle of the back row. Adams, a member of Toronto's 1918 Stanley Cup champions, returned to the Queen City to play for the St. Pats in 1922-23 after spending the previous three seasons with the Vancouver Millionaires of the PCHA. He is third from the left in the front row of beside Amos Arbour, who played his only season in Toronto in 1923-24. Dye, who led the St. Pats in scoring with 17 goals and 19 points, and Noble are kneeling on the ice on the other side of Adams. This remarkable photo remains in excellent condition overall. Lines radiating from a pressure gouge to the immediate left of Bert Corbeau's head beside Roach in the back row are to note. "Toronto 1922" is erroneously noted in blank ink on the reverse of the print. A great original team photo of the franchise that would ultimately become the Toronto Maple Leafs.
