Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/16/2010
Chosen first overall by Ottawa in the 1993 draft, Alexandre Daigle was projected as the Senators' franchise player. Daigle posted 51 points as an 18-year-old rookie with the Senators but returned to play junior hockey with Victoriaville and Team Canada when a work stoppage delayed the start of the 1994-95 NHL season. Offered here are two of Daigle's Team Canada game used #19 jerseys - one red, one white - from the 1995 world junior championships. Alex had two goals and eight assists as Canada won each of its seven games in Red Deer, Alberta, to claim its third of five straight gold medals in the mid-1990s. Maska and size 54 fly tags remain in the neck of both of these air-knit Canada gamers, both with intact fight straps. Nameplates have been removed from both jerseys and an alternate captain's "A" has been removed from the red gamer. Great game wear includes three team repairs on the right cuff of the white jersey, as well as a variety of stick marks and board burns on both jerseys.
