Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/16/2010
A year after winning the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP with his Stanley Cup champion Calgary Flames, all-star defenceman Al MacInnis joined Team Canada for the World Championships when the Flames suffered a first-round loss to Los Angeles. MacInnis suited up for nine tournament games in Switzerland, scoring one goal and assisting on three others as Canada settled for fourth place. Expected light use on Al's Team Canada mesh jersey, with a couple of black marks on the front (white stripe). A Tackla tag in the neck indicates size XXL, with everything except the Allianz patches sublimated, including "MacInnis" across the nameplate. Donned by a Hall-of-Famer who helped Canada to Olympic gold in 2002, the jersey will come with an LOA signed by Alan Eagleson.
