Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010

Brendan Shanahan was once again on hand to play for Team Canada at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. After failing to score on Dominik Hasek on Canada's final shootout attempt four years earlier in Nagano, Shanahan earned redemption when Canada won gold in Salt Lake City. Brendan's #14 in white-and-black twill is sewn on the back and both sleeves of his red Heritage-style jersey. IIHF and size 56 Nike Team Sports tags are sewn inside the tie-neck collar, which has its original lace. An IIHF patch is sewn onto the right rear tail and the jersey's fight strap is intact. Nike inventory tag is screened inside the left rear tail. A mark on the left cuff is the most noticeable wear on this single-use gamer worn for Canada's tournament opening loss to Sweden. A letter of authenticity on Hockey Canada letterhead signed by president Bob Nicholson accompanies this great game worn Team Canada 2002 Olympic jersey.
