Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/16/2010
Five items offered here feature memorabilia from the 1932 and 1936 Olympic Winter Games, including an original daily program with handwritten pencil results notations from the final day of competition at the 1936 games in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The February 16, 1936 program is also the closing ceremonies program and it includes the last game of the hockey medal round between Canada and the USA, who ended up claiming silver and bronze respectively behind Great Britain's surprising gold medal win. An original 1936 program lists the tournament's hockey dates and games and a vintage postcard shows the outdoor ice hockey venue at the 1936 games. German "Olympia" albums from both 1932 and 1936 include original hockey photos from the decade's Olympic tournaments in Lake Placid and Germany.
