Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/16/2010
After appearing in two Stanley Cup finals against Calgary in the 1980s, Brian Skrudland was traded to the Flames by Montreal during the 1992-93 season, missing out on a third trip to the big dance with the Canadiens by mere months. This exceptional Flames road jersey from that season features the Stanley Cup 100th anniversary patch sewn onto the right breast along with the Maska fly tag (circled in washed out red marker) and a size 52 fly tag in the neck. The Flaming C crest, No. 39 on the back and both sleeves, and letters on a red nameplate are all in white and yellow twill. This grinder's beauty has a two-inch slashing diagonal cut in the white band of the rear hem, stick marks below the number on the back and a small board burn hole on the left sleeve that shows through to the white elbow gusset, along with a board burn on the right elbow that has melted the red fabric. This sensational gamer comes along with a COA.
