Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/16/2010
From a Stanley Cup championship run comes this desirable Devils jersey, worn by defenceman Brian Rafalski in games three and four of the 2003 Cup finals. New Jersey was beaten 3-2 in overtime and 1-0 in Anaheim by the Ducks, who thus tied the series 2-2, but came through with wins in games five and seven on home ice to capture hockey's ultimate prize for the third time in eight years. Rafalski contributed two goals and nine assists in the playoffs. His size 52 air-knit jersey by Koho includes half a dozen black marks on the front, another on the left sleeve where a few burns resulted in two small holes, while a small slice and two burns can be spotted on the right sleeve. With the 2003 Cup finals patch, a MeiGray tag in the hem and a company LOA, this is one nice shirt!
