Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/16/2010
From Dave Ellett's second of 16 NHL seasons comes this splendid home white mesh job of the Winnipeg Jets, the team with which Dave consistently reached double digits in goals. After 11 as a rookie, the defenceman scored 15 goals in 1985-86, some of them while wearing this CCM jersey that had size "56" added in pen to the CCM/Maska tag in the collar. With the Jets' classic embroidered and nylon-y crest, numbers and nameplate, the jersey shows good game use. A dozen black stick marks on the front include a heavy two-inch job just below the crest, while a few more slash/hook marks are on each sleeve. Some red paint transfer on the right elbow, a small rip at the base of the neckline, and a couple of black slashs on the back, including one to the left of Dave's number "2", are also noteworthy, as is the interior pilling at the elbows. An LOA from J & J Distributing (Joe Tomon) will be included.
