Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010

The great Jacques Plante is featured among 16 members of the 1971-72 Toronto Maple Leafs who have signed Bob Baun's game used Sher-Brooke stick. Plante has signed just above the upper band of the manufacturer's striped tape around the shaft of this gamer that has "Baun 21" stamped on it and retains the veteran defenceman's original tape jobs on the butt end and blade. Plante was reunited that season with Don Marshall, a fellow member of the Canadiens' record five straight Stanley Cup teams of the late-1950s who has also signed in his only season in Toronto. Plante's fellow Hall-of-Famers Norm Ullman, Dave Keon and Darryl Sittler have also signed, along with Baun, Ellis, Glennie, Dupere (who has signed twice), Monahan, Dorey, Trottier, MacMillan, Selwood and others. This remarkable team signed stick from Bobby Baun's second go-round with the Maple Leafs offers a great way to add a Jake the Snake autograph to your collection.
