Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/16/2010
One of the hardest sets of hockey cards to piece together is the Quaker Oats version of the '55-56 Parkhurst company's offering. Available in cereal boxes, the green-backed cards here are highlighted by the Jean Beliveau card which grades "VG-EX". Corner/edge wear and a 1-inch scrape in the upper left corner are of note. Joining Beliveau are action cards featuring Rocket Richard and Jacques Plante. Card #73 (Richard Tests Lumley) has been graded "5-EX" by KSA while #71 (Plante Is Protected) is in crease-free "EX" shape with corner/edge wear and border discoloration to mention. Fine trio for those working on this elusive set.
