A vintage and graded card lover's delight is this awesome group of cards from Parkhurst's landmark 1951-52 issue that started the modern era of card collecting. Each treasure has been encapsulated, the majority by PSA, and provide hobbyists with an outstanding opportunity. The details are as follows. For starters, the three biggies are Gordie Howe at VG-EX+ 4.5, while Rocket Richard and Terry Sawchuk came in at EX 5. Leading the way condition wise are a trio of NM-MT 8(OC) cards; #51-Babando, 58-Woit and 81-M. Bentley, along with a NM+ 7.5 of 90-Evans. Twenty meanwhile received lofty NM 7 status including 19-Henry, 28-Dumart, 29-Schmidt, 49-Mosienko, 63-Delvecchio and 86-Kennedy, along with numbers 7, 18, 24, 31, 33, 34, 44, 67, 73 (OC), 88, 89, 93, 95, 99 and 100. Next up are (7) at EX-MT 6: 3-Bouchard, 9, 14-Geoffrion, 35, 59, 65 and 101. At EX+ 5.5 are #s 11, 26-Quackenbush and 60. The EX 5 grade was given to (23) cards including 5-Olmstead, 37-Gadsby, 52-Winning Goal, 64-Abel, 68-Pronovost, 105-Conacher and #s 8, 12, 16, 22, 23, 25, 30, 32, 36, 38, 42, 45, 50, 69, 77, 79, 96. Next come (14) at VG-EX+ 4.5 including 1-Lach, 7-Johnson, 72-Meeker, 80-Flaman and #s 20, 40, 46, 54, 62, 78, 80, 83, 87, 98, 103. At VG-EX 4 are (19), led by 15-McNeil, 47-Lumley, 48-D. Bentley, 56-Lindsay, 76-Rollins and 104-Rayner, along with #s 2, 6, 13, 27, 41, 57, 70, 71, 84, 85, 91, 98, 102. Just four cards did not make it to the 4-or-better mark; 43-Gee (VG+ 3.5), 10-Harvey (VG 3), 75-Broda (VG 3) and 74-Klukay (Good+ 2.5), while eight cards were deemed not gradable by PSA but have indeed been slabbed by KSA. They are #s 17, 21, 39, 53-Stewart, 55-Kelly, 82, 92 and 94-Stanley, all which were graded between NM 7 and NMM+ 8.5. Those who have yet to acquire a graded '51-52 Parkie set should look to seriously consider this fabulous booty.
