Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/16/2010
A splendid array of some of hockey's finest performers of the 1930s highlight this swell batch of cards issued by Canadian Chewing Gum Limited of Toronto. All of the cards were enjoyed by their original owner and thus have creases of varying degrees, but the cards were never pasted and have problem-free backs. Best, appearance-wise, are Day, Dutton and Hainsworth at G-VG. Then it's G or lower for the likes of Hall-of-Famers Charlie and Lionel Conacher, Joliat, Clapper, Cook, Connell, Emms, Finnigan, Gardiner, Goodfellow, Horner, Jackson, Siebert and Stewart, as well as 20 others including Kerr, Chabot, Gottselig, Sorrell and Lepine. Handled and in low grade, but with the letters at the bottom still intact and featuring numerous rookie cards, this lot is just 13 shy of a complete set.
