Rather intriguing pieced-together Parkhurst set from 1958-59 is a mix of conditions, but with several eye-catching sharp, snowy-white examples that call out to be graded. Leading the way are Rocket Richard and Jean Beliveau cards that appear to be at least NRMT, but with classic wax stains on the back. Similar high-grade NRMT-or-better commons are numbers 3, 19 (back stain), 24, 30, 32, 40 and 44. A notch lower and at least EX-MT are 2-H. Richard, 8-Moore, 12, 13, 18, 20 (ST), 27-Olmstead, 29-Duff, 37, 39-Plante action, 41 (ST), 46-Bower and 48-Armstrong, with 33-Mahovlich and 42-Horton similar but with back stains. Another key, 22-Plante appears EX+ but has a back stain and a small corner crease. The remainder of the set features (9) EX-ish cards including Geoffrion and Harvey, (7) at VG+ including 1-Pulford Comes Close, and (9) at VG or a tad less. Some interesting breakup possibilities with this ever-popular Parkhurst issue.
