Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010

Even though they were the defending Stanley Cup champions, the 1991-92 Pittsburgh Penguins were looking for a certain spark when they acquired Rick Tocchet from Philadelphia with two months left in the regular season. Tocchet hit the ground running in these game used skates with 14 goals and 30 points in 19 games. He added six goals and 19 points in 14 playoff games as the Penguins repeated as Cup champions in the spring of 1992. Tocchet has added the #92 he first wore for the Penguins (he switched to his customary #22 the following season) to his black sharpie signatures on the inner heel of each boot of this pair of Custom Fit CCM 852 Tacks. This great pair of game used Rick Tocchet skates feature stitching from extra reinforcement of the leather uppers to the Kevlar panels along both sides of the boots. These beauties look like they still have some goals in them, and maybe even a scrap or two.
