Historic pair of CCM Vector Pro skates worn by Hall-of-Famer Mario Lemieux during his final season with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2005-06. Super Mario, the Penguins' player-owner, was on hand to welcome 18-year-old Sidney Crosby to the NHL in the fall of 2005. Offered here is an authentic pair of Lemieux's game used skates from the 2005-06 campaign, when he scored the final seven goals, 15 assists and 22 points of his remarkable career before retiring in January after injuries limited him to 26 games. Stickers on the bottom of each size 11.75 skate have "LEMIEUX MARIO, 11 3/4" printed on them. Light but obvious use includes a great mark on the inside outer heel of the metallic "Externo-Skel" on the right boot, as well as wear inside the boot. Padding attached inside the left heel for Mario's comfort remains in place. Lemieux finished his career with 1,723 points in 915 regular season games, including 690 goals and 1,033 assists. A two-time Stanley Cup winner with the Penguins in 1991 and 1992, Lemieux recorded 76 goals and 172 points in 107 playoff games. This pair of Mario Lemieux game used skates from the legend's last NHL season will surely appeal to a variety of collectors.
