Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/16/2010
Long piece of lumber by the Koho company was used by superstar Mario Lemieux in the late-1980's and is in terrific crack-free, solid condition and exhibits nice game use. "Lemieux" is stamped to the front of the shaft with "66" in black marker above while black tape forms Mario's knob. A piece of partially unglued white tape on the upper shaft has handwritten text "All Star Game 1989". The tape was removed from the blade and has been signed in black marker by Super Mario "Best Wishes, Mario Lemieux 66". Blade has a small chip on the upper edge but remains very solid. This is the Koho model Lemieux used during the peak production seasons of his career in the late-1980s, including the 1988-89 season when le Magnifique recorded 85 goals and 199 points!
