Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/16/2010
Sidney Crosby game used Reebok stick from the 2007-08 season offers evidence of the young superstar's love of Sher-Wood blades. Sid averaged well over a point per game during an injury-plagued campaign that saw him record 72 points in only 53 regular season games. He then helped lead Pittsburgh all the way to the Stanley Cup finals, foreshadowing the Penguins' return to hockey's summit in the spring of 2009. Reebok "Kick Zone" shaft includes Crosby's standard white-taped handle with "87" handwritten in black marker on the front of the knob. The Sher-Wood blade has been painted over in black on both sides to cover up any mention of the manufacturer and its logos. Sid's original black bulldog tape job on the blade exhibits wear really nice game use. This Crosby gamer is fully intact and will make an outstanding addition to your premium stick collection.
