Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010

Ever appealing white 1970s Chicago Black Hawks game worn jersey was sported by goalie Michel Dumas. Called up from the Black Hawks' farm team in Dallas, Dumas appeared in three games with Chicago during the 1974-75 season, claiming two wins and a 3.47 goals-against-average. With veteran Gilles Villemure brought in the following season to back up Tony Esposito, Dumas didn't play for the Black Hawks again until the 1976-77 campaign, when he failed to record a win in five games in Chicago, his last appearance in the NHL. Gunzo's and Wilson tagging remains in the neck, with no size indicated on the Wilson tag which has had its stitching let go on the left side. Great game wear with puck marks on the front of the jersey and both sleeves. A tiny unrepaired hole appears on the white part of the jersey directly at the upper right point of the exquisitely detailed Black Hawks crest sewn on the front. More great stitching appears on the tomahawk crests sewn on both shoulders. Short nameplate has been removed and the wonderful black-and-red twill #30 is sewn on the back and both sleeves. A fantastic 1970s Black Hawks gamer that will surely appeal to a variety of collectors.
