Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010

Terry Sawchuk's third and final stint in Detroit was a brief one indeed. The legendary goalie's autograph appears on Alex Delvecchio's game used Northland stick signed by members of the 1968-69 Red Wings, including 4 members of the Hockey Hall of Fame. Sawchuk appeared in 13 games with the Wings while backing up Roger Crozier, whose ballpoint autograph also appears along with the likes of Delvecchio, Howe, Abel, Prentice, Unger, Stemkowski, Douglas, Popiel, Monteith, Hathoum and trainer Lefty Wilson among those that have signed on either side of the shaft. "Delvecchio" is stamped on this vintage gamer along with "Olympic Sporting Goods Co." and "Northland Skis, St. Paul, Minn., U.S.A." Delvecchio's original black tape remains on the blade and on the knob, which has "Lie No 7" stamped below it.
