Remembered for a meteoric NHL career, Gordie Drillon did enough scoring in seven seasons to merit his induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Drillon was named to the NHL's First All-Star Team in 1937-38, when he led the league with 26 goals and 52 points in his sophomore season with the Maple Leafs. He has personalized his vintage black ink signature, "To Paul With Best Regards Gordie Drillon", on this 8 1/2" x 6 3/4" photo on paper stock. Drillon played six seasons in Toronto and finished in the top 10 in league scoring in each of his last three years with the Leafs, who came back from a 3-0 deficit to win the Cup in 1942 when Drillon was benched after the first three losses to Detroit. Traded to Montreal, Drillon had 50 points in 49 games with the Canadiens in 1942-43, his final NHL season. In total, Gordie scored 155 goals and added 139 assists for 294 points in 311 regular season games, with another 26 goals and 41 points in 50 playoff games.
