Deceased Hall-of-Famers Tim Horton and Ted Kennedy are among the original autographs on this Kennedy gamer signed by 13 members of the 1952-53 Toronto Maple Leafs. A decade-long transition from one Leafs dynasty to another is evoked here as a total of seven HOFers have signed, including George Armstrong, Harry Lumley, Leo Boivin, Harry Watson and Fern Flaman. Kennedy picked up the captain's mantle from Syl Apps and led the Leafs to three more Cups in four seasons, capping a run that saw Toronto win the Stanley Cup six times from 1942 to 1951. Horton and Armstrong were stalwarts of the 1960s Leafs Cup dynasty. Moving up from the bottom, Lumley, Boivin, Morrison, Smith, Watson, Hassard, Stewart, Timgren, Flaman, Armstrong, Horton, Kennedy and Thomson have signed in order along the shaft that has "Supplied by Brown's Sports" stamped on either side with a Yonge Street address. Teeder's #9 is written in black marker on the shaft beneath his original black tape knob and his taped blade remains intact, with "Love & Bennett" stamped just above the heel on the bottom of the shaft. Cracks at the toe are visible though the blade is held intact by its original tape job. A sensational Maple Leafs treasure awaits its place in your stick collection.
