Formidable find here for Tim Horton, Maple Leaf and NHL contract enthusiasts was inked October 9th, 1959 and called for the legendary defenceman to receive a salary of $10,500 for the '59-60 season, with however several always-interesting bonus clauses. A thousand dollar bonus was to be given if the Leafs took the regular season title, and then lesser amounts if they finished lower. Tim got $500 for the Leafs' second place finish and stats also show that Tim collected on the "$500 if Horton gets 30 points" clause (he had 32). Horton's classic signature in blue ball point on the back of the document is a "10" as is Punch Imlach's just above. Signed on the front by NHL president Clarence Campbell, the contract is accompanied by a sheet featuring Horton's bonus clauses from '57-58 and '58-59, along with handwritten notes. Fun, fun!
