The New York Rangers gave Philadelphia a real test in their 1974 semi-final before the Flyers went on to claim their first of two straight Stanley Cups. Offered here is a Rangers official NHL game puck from New York's 2-1 overtime win at Madison Square Garden on April 28, 1974 in Game 4 of the hard-fought seven-game series. Rod Gilbert scored on fellow Hall-of-Famer Bernie Parent 4:21 into overtime as the Rangers evened the series with their second straight win on home ice. Rubber crested Rangers logo on the face has "4-28-74" written in white on the top, and "N.Y. 2- Phila. Flyers 1" on the bottom, with an MSG ticket stub from the game taped on the reverse. The Flyers took the series, which saw all seven games won by the host team, and went on to beat Boston in six in the final.
