Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/16/2010
Autograph enthusiasts will be tempted by Hall-of-Famer Frank Selke's signed 1961 "get well" card to the Canadiens general manager's assistant. Selke's ballpoint signature appears at the bottom of his card to Lee Dillon, with a note to refer to his message on the inside of the card which he ends with the reassuring words, "do not worry about the job", with his initials beneath it. The card's original mailing envelope is included with a Cincinnati postmark dated June 29, 1961. Also included is an original program from the testimonial dinner in Selke's honor held at the Royal Embassy Hotel on October 18, 1965 featuring an outstanding biography of the great hockey man overseen by his son, Frank Selke Jr.
