Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/16/2010
Montreal Canadiens great Aurele Joliat's vintage signature appears beside his picture on the cover of a 1934 exhibition game program. The deceased HOFer often signed "Aurel" though here he has signed the full French version of his name "Aurele" vertically in black fountain pen. Johnny "Black Cat" Gagnon, Marty Burke and Lorne Chabot are among the other members of the 1933-34 Canadiens whose signatures appear on the front cover of this fully intact and complete original program for a game between Montreal and the Quebec Beavers on March 29 in Trois-Rivieres. Pit Lepine has signed on the back cover. A rare Canadiens exhibition program with great original autographs.
