Sensational display piece, this Wayne Gretzky game used Titan stick may have seen active duty in the 1986 Stanley Cup playoffs. Wayne's #99 is written on the knob in marker with "W. Gretzky" stamped below it. The "8 Avr 1986" factory date stamp and pattern code "1-002" appear on the shaft near the heel. Wayne's Edmonton Oilers began the playoffs on April 9, fashioning a three-game sweep of Vancouver. The Oilers faced Calgary in the Smythe Division final from April 18-30, as the Flames pulled off a stunning upset when Edmonton's Steve Smith scored into his own net for the decisive goal in Game 7. The Great One has added the year "86" to his "99" to his black marker "Best wishes, your friend, Wayne Gretzky" signature along the bottom front of the shaft. Beautifully presented along with a 10" x 8" action shot of Gretzky in a 19 5/8" x 65 1/8" cabinet that measures 2 1/4" deep. Whether the Great One used this gamer in the playoffs or at the beginning of the following season, this fantastic vintage and original signed Wayne Gretzky game used stick will make an outstanding addition to your collection.
