Impressive red Chicago Black Hawks jersey was worn by hulking winger Eric Daze when he made his NHL debut late in the abbreviated 1995 season and on through the first three rounds of the playoffs. Daze went right from the junior ranks to the Black Hawks at the end of the season, recording his first NHL goal in a four-game stint before adding one assist in 16 playoff games as Chicago fell to Detroit in the Western Conference final. Daze, whose career was ultimately cut short by back injuries, went on to record his first of four 30-goal seasons the following year, finishing runner-up to Ottawa's Daniel Alfredsson in Calder Trophy voting for the 1995-96 rookie-of-the-year. This classic road Black Hawks gamer was the first worn by Daze in the NHL. CCM and size 58 fly tags remain in the neck and the fight strap is intact. The jersey is from the second set of 1995 jerseys with "95" written in black marker inside the hem on the back of the embroidered NHL logo with "2" in black marker beside it. A couple of team repairs on the right elbow and stick marks on the cuffs and front and rear tail offer fantastic evidence of game use. Comes along with Bob Pulford's signed LOA on Black Hawks letterhead and MeiGray Group certificate of registration.
