Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction March 2010
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 3/16/2010
A very, very faint vintage Bobby Orr autograph graces his game issued Sher-Brooke stick. This beauty dates from Bobby's time with Team Canada during the 1972 Summit Series, which he was unable to take part in because of knee problems. Orr's personalized black marker signature on the top front of the shaft is extremely faded, though his first name is still discernible. The stick is stamped with a big "4" on the top of the shaft with a smaller "B Orr" above it towards the bare butt end. Bruins colors are featured in the two yellow-white-and-black tape bands around the shaft that include a single gold-colored stripe in the middle. "Sher-Brooke" is stamped on the front and back of the shaft with "Pro Type Model" stamped vertically along the face of the shaft.
