Sensational keepsake commemorates the start of the Edmonton Oilers 1980s dynasty and was presented to winger Willy Lindstrom after he helped the Oilers to their first Stanley Cup in the spring of 1984. After four productive seasons in Winnipeg, Willy was acquired by Edmonton towards the end of the '82-83 season and then contributed 22 regular season goals in his first full campaign with Gretzky and friends, before scoring another five during the Cup run. After taking out Lindstrom's former Jets in three straight opening round games, The Oilers edged the Flames in seven, swept the North Stars in four and then knocked off the four-time defending champion Islanders in five, with Kenny Linseman scoring what proved to be the winning goal in the 5-2 clincher at Northlands Coliseum. The image of Wayne hoisting Lord Stanley's silverware for the first time and the smile on his face is something that will never be forgotten by Oilers' faithful. A large, striking diamond is set into a blue stone here, with "Edmonton" above and "Oilers" below. One shank includes "Lindstrom 19", the team's logo and an image of a carrot, while the other includes the Stanley Cup, the names of the Oilers' playoff victims and the scores of the four series. Size 9-1/2 ring is 14-karat gold, exhibits light to moderate wear and has been kept with pride in excellent condition. Lindstrom was known as "Willy the Wisp" due to his terrific speed, is the only player to have had both Bobby Hull and Wayne Gretzky as teammates and also helped Edmonton to repeat as Cup champs the following season. With a letter of authentication from Willy Lindstrom, this magnificent memento is awaiting your Oilers shrine.
