Historic playoff record "fastest two goals" puck highlights this lot of three pucks from Norm Ullman's personal collection. Norm scored two goals in five seconds on April 11, 1965, an NHL playoff record that stands to this day. And the Hall of Fame center did it in style, beating Chicago Black Hawks legend Glenn Hall for both goals before completing a hat trick later in the Red Wings' 4-2 win. Offered here is the actual puck Ullman scored for the record-setting second goal 17:40 into the second period. After tying the game at 17:35, Ullman intercepted a pass following the face-off and beat Hall for a second time in five seconds. The Tyer Art Ross patent official NHL puck has a rubberized orange Red Wings hexagonal crest on the face. Norm placed a band of white tape around the puck and marked it "2 G. - 5 SECONDS" when he updated his collection. Also included is Norm's hat trick puck from a 5-2 win over Boston at the Olympia on January 21, 1960, along with a circa 1969-71 Red Wings official game puck. Norm Ullman's signed letter of authenticity accompanies this lot that includes his treasured NHL playoff record goal puck.
