Norm Ullman was two months and 10 days shy of his 20th birthday when he scored his first NHL goal early in the 1955-56 season. Offered here is the original Tyer official Art Ross patent puck 19-year-old Norm put in the back of the net in a 6-0 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Olympia on October 16, 1955. The future Hall-of-Famer scored nine goals in 66 games as a rookie on his way to 490 regular season NHL goals with the Red Wings and Maple Leafs. Norm's milestone first NHL goal puck is attached by two tiny screws to a trophy base with a plaque on the front that reads, "1st N.H.L. Goal, Oct. 16th, 1955, Scored Against Toronto". Printing on the rubberized orange hexagon on one side of the puck remains clear while the logo on the opposite face of the slug exhibits significant wear. Standing 7" overall on its base, this milestone puck from Norm Ullman's personal collection comes along with his signed letter of authenticity.
