Hall of Fame center Norm Ullman scored his 500th career goal in 1975 shortly after joining the WHA to play for his hometown Edmonton Oilers. Sitting on a combined total of 490 regular season goals during his NHL career with Detroit and Toronto, Ullman joined the legion of Maple Leafs who parted ways with Harold Ballard and jumped to the rival league during the 1970s. Offered here is Ullman's 500th goal puck, an Oilers official WHA Biltrite slug Norm fired for his second goal of the game in a 7-5 win over the Quebec Nordiques at the Edmonton Coliseum on December 10, 1975. "500" is handwritten in blue ink on the left side of the white screened WHA logo that features Biltrite's distinctive "Made in Canada" in raised letters on the face. The Oilers logo is screened in white with an orange oil drop. A vintage band of white tape surrounds the puck with "500 GOAL" printed in black ink. This remarkable and historic milestone 500th goal puck comes along with Norm Ullman's signed letter of authenticity.
