Lindros corrals a puck behind the opposition goal and curls along the boards toward the corner. Harassed by a defenseman, he drops the puck behind the net for LeClair, who re-traces Lindros' moves. This was the Duet of Doom. Internationally celebrated artist Samantha Wendell paints in a style perfectly timed to capture the moment of concentration when athletes, musicians, actors and the like are unrivaled. Whether it be at the height of competition, or the height of a performance, Samantha is able to portray both the agony and the ecstasy of the moment intimately. Her sports originals command prices in the $5000 - $10,000 range on the art market. Offered is this original oil painting by Wendell on canvas portraying Flyers line mates Eric Lindros and John LeClair as they ride the pine in Philly waiting for their next productive shift. This tandem paired up to provide Philly fans with some exciting hockey. The work is stretched over a wood frame and measures out to an impressive 36 x 48 inches. Both LeClair and Lindros have autographed the piece on the back near the title "The Flying Force", penned by Wendell who has also signed her name in the work. Originally obtained from a Philadelphia Flyers charity auction.
