At the close of the 2001-02 post-season, the victorious Detroit Red Wings stood alone, having defeated the Carolina Hurricanes four-games-to-one to capture the Stanley Cup. Without a doubt, this is the most beautiful and substantial Stanley Cup ring we have ever offered! The tableau of this breath-taking creation is flanked by the words "Stanley Cup Champions" on either side of the raised image of the coveted trophy. A total of eighty-two (82) shimmering real diamonds can be found on the face with an additional twenty-four (24) precious rubies encrusting the raised winged-wheel logo at the center. One shank boasts the Red Wing's "10th Cup" while the opposite side displays a three-dimensional design of three raised Cups with "Wharton" above and "2002" at the sides. Produced by the heralded craftsman at Intergold (IGO) with their hallmark stamped inside the band beside the 14K assayer's stamp. In excellent-plus condition. From the personal collection of former Detroit Red Wings head athletic trainer John Wharton, complete with a letter of provenance and authenticity. [red] Addendum; The ring is a size 8 1/2. [/red]
