Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
The commemorative patch sewn onto the right breast of this gamer tells it all! On October 9, 2002, the storied number "99" was hoisted high into the rafters of the Staples Center to salute the brilliant career of the Great One, Wayne Douglas Gretzky. The home game that followed saw the Kings wearing the special patch and this particular jersey was worn by alternate captain Mathieu Schneider in the third period, according to MeiGray's online population repost and matching inventory number sewn into the inner rear hem. The size 52 jersey has the large CCM label in the neck and displays a series of black stick marks on the left sleeve, more marks on the lower front and some yellow staining up on one shoulder. Comes with authenticating documents from the MeiGray Group. [red] Addendum; Will come with a LOA from Classic. No documents from MeiGray are included.[/red]
