Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
Desirable Canadiens game-issued jersey is the vintage "Turn Back the Clock" style only worn during selected games of the NHL's 75th anniversary season in '91-92. Defenseman Alain Cote, who shuttled between the NHL and minors throughout most of his 11-year pro career, got into 13 games with the Habs in '91-92 but was not dressed for any of Montreal's games with these jerseys. Maska Ultrafil and size 54 fly tags are in the neck while the NHL 75-year patch is on the front with a Canadiens red and white tackle twill crest. A similar crest is sewn on the left sleeve in place of a number. "Cote" and "5" are sewn on the back. Jersey is in like-new condition and should interest several Canadiens/special jersey collectors. Comes with a letter of authenticity.
