In the summer of 2001 Saku Koivu was diagnosed with a form of cancer that threatened his career and his life. However, six months after the news Koivu was back on the ice leading the Canadiens to their first playoff appearance since the 1997-98 season. Wonderful white knit Montreal Canadiens road jersey was worn by Habs leader Saku Koivu during the January 29th, 2007 Ken Dryden Jersey Retirement Night game and festivities at the Bell Centre. Best is the special commemorative "29" patch up on the left breast. The Reebok jersey has a size 54 CCM tag in the neck, a Maska Air-Knit tag in the lower seam and the NHL logo embroidered into the rear hem. Lighter wear on this captain's jersey, as is to be expected. Comes complete with a letter of authenticity from the Montreal Canadiens signed by the team's head equipment manager and a photo showing Koivu wearing the jersey.
