Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
Adam Oates' career really took off after his trade from Detroit to St. Louis prior to the '89-90 season. Adam's deft passing skills helped Brett Hull to a 72-goal season while Oates reached the 100-point mark for the first time. Oates' CCM air-knit Blues road jersey has a Maska tag in the neck while CCM and NHL logos are embroidered into the rear hem where a white screened "Custom Crafted" also appears. A Dan Kelly memorial patch is sewn on the left shoulder. Plenty of game use here with some 15 black stick/slash marks across the front, a dozen more on each sleeve along with a few small burns. A small hole can be found near the right elbow and there's pilling at the right cuff. A board burn on the back just above the NHL shield has left a small hole. Superb jersey worn by one of the best passers the NHL has seen will come with a letter of authenticity from Rich Ellis of Spirit of the Game.
