Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
Absolutely pounded Isles sweater worn by fan-favorite Pat Lafontaine during the 1990-91 season. The tackle twill crest of the New York Islanders floats in a sea of black stick slashes and marks on the front of this one. Two-tone alternate's "A" high up on the left breast and the Maska tag hangs in the collar surrounded by interior pilling. Countless stick marks with areas of very heavy pilling inside. Three large team repairs scar the right shoulder with a circular fix-up on the opposite sleeve and yet another on the back hem. A hammered jersey to say the least. Included is the detailed letter of authenticity from the MeiGray Group and a copy of the photo match.
