Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
The scrappy Garth Butcher posted over 2300 penalty minutes in less than 900 games during his years in the NHL. This early 1990's St. Louis Blues uniform, worn by Garth, has a crudely-attached alternate captain's "A" up on the chest and a unique name-on-back. Garth's surname crosses a massive nameplate above his number "5", attached to the jersey by a massive strip of Velcro. Possibly a pre-season uniform? A black marker "V08" has been written inside the hem close to the large Blue Note Authentics hologram and inventory number. Obvious game wear with dozens of stick marks on the sleeves and lower front with a few solid burns and slashes higher up on the body and areas of pilling inside. Tagged in the collar by Maska Air-Knit with size "54" marked on the tag and featuring the rubberized Custom Crafted logo on the tail. [red] Addendum; Comes with a BlueNote Authentics LOA. Jersey is from 1991/92 training camp.[/red]
