Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
The OHA's outstanding defenseman in his final year with the "Petes" in 1978-79, Peterborough-born Greg Theberge played the majority of his 153-game Washington Capitals NHL career during the 1981-82 and 1982-83 seasons. A grandson of Hall-of-Famer Dit Clapper, Greg's red knit Caps home jersey has "Maska" embroidered into the rear hem while a washing instructions tag in the neck indicates size 50. The jersey shows good game use with stick marks and material pulls throughout with two team repairs on the right arm, another on the right sleeve and two more on the front. Everything is sewn-on and a double-cloth fight strap is in the tail. Classic Capitals styling with nice game use.
