Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
Bobby Orr, rookie Guy Lafleur and 1971 playoff revelation Ken Dryden are all included in this complete set of 24 photo posters issued by O-Pee-Chee for the 1971-72 NHL season. The Orr poster, #1 in the set, is in good condition overall with a two-inch patch of water damage on the upper left margin that is common to the rest of the posters in this collection. Otherwise, this fantastic set features the Esposito brothers, Original Six stars Keon, Cournoyer, Gilbert, Hull, Plante, Ullman and Ratelle, expansion stalwarts Pulford, Berenson, Kurtenbach, McKechnie, Horton, Unger, Gamble and Worsley, up-and-coming talents Tallon, Martin and Perreault, and a poster of the 1970-71 Stanley Cup champion Canadiens. The creasing on the posters from their original packaging is obvious and some posters have scotch tape on the back, though the overall condition is quite good.
