Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
An even dozen round rubber biscuits dating back to the Sixties includes the rare red World Hockey Association prototype Biltrite game puck used experimentally at the start of the inaugural 1972-73 season and a similar blue experimental puck, this one with the WHA logo on one side. More game pucks from the WHA are here with three different Nordiques gamers and a white logo Cleveland Crusaders example. Two early NHL practice pucks are included, one made by Viceroy and a Sixties Tyer Rubber Company patent number affair. Three Inglasco Approved game pucks from the early Eighties with the team logos of the Oilers, Canadiens and Nordiques and a Nords rubber-crested Viceroy gamer round out the collection. Overall, in near excellent condition with some wear and paint flaking in the bunch, as the photos show.
