Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction - June 2009
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2009
The younger brother of a Russian superstar, Valeri Bure wore this white mesh Central Red Army jersey during his brief stint with the Russian League powerhouse in 1990-91. Bure made the jump to North America to play junior hockey in Spokane and was drafted by Montreal in the second round of the 1992 NHL entry draft. Despite its light use, this fantastic Red Army gamer exhibits nice wear, including solid stick marks and board burns on the front and near the right sleeve cuff. The UCKA team crest, #24 on the back and both sleeves, and Bure's Cyrillic surname are all screened onto this distintice, lightweight Russian gamer.
