Robert Picard wore this patriotically-designed uniform as a member of Team Canada at the 1979 World Championships. Robert's red mesh jersey by Sandow SK features screened-on team logos, numbers and "Canada" down the sleeves while "Picard" is screened onto a sewn-on mesh nameplate. With a laundered Sandow tag in the neck, the jersey measures out to approximately size 48 and has been preserved in outstanding condition. The rubber screening shows no signs of cracking/peeling as is often the case with these jerseys. Obvious game wear with a number of black stick marks and slashes. A 2" x 3" piece has been cut out of the lower front hem, near the left seam which once held a manufacturer logo that was nixed by the IIHF. It's a cool jersey for an international collection.
